I think anytime a girl and her boyfriend break up, it takes a blow to her self confidence. It takes an even bigger blow when, throughout the entire relationship, she was made to feel like she didn’t deserve him and wasn’t good enough. Then let’s add into that the fact that he now blatantly flirts with all her friends. Oh and he did that throughout the relationship too, but she wasn’t even allowed to talk to her girl friends without him getting possessive.
Really, I shouldn’t be complaining. It’s been almost a month now and I should be over it. But I guess I was just blind to everything throughout the relationship. Now, looking back on it, everything I should have picked up on, is hitting me like a ton of bricks. I should have been smarter, I shouldn’t have let him walk all over me, and it kills me that I was so willing to forget.
He always made me feel stupid, and I guess he still does. I hate that.
But now that I’ve said all that, this is a perfect opportunity to figure out my relationship with God. Because, in all reality, He’s got a perfect plan for me, so it’s time to let go, move on, forgive, and smarten up.
